Toyo Names New President for U.S. Auto Parts Business

Toyo Tire & Rubber Co. Ltd. has made personnel changes effective for the final quarter of 2016, including a new president of the company’s automotive parts company in the U.S.

Two changes were effective Sept. 30, 2016

Yoshikazu Nishiwaki was promoted to director overseeing administrative divisions for Orient Machinery Co. Ltd., after previously serving as an advisor for that same position. Nishiwaki will continue to service as a full-time advisor to Toyo Tire & Rubber Co. Ltd.

Kiyotaka Sugimoto was named president of Orient Machinery Co. Ltd., and will continue to serve as general manager of the electric system and control department for the Production Engineering Center.

The following changes were effective Oct. 1, 2016:

Jun Akai will serve as general manager of the polyurethane products development department for the DT R&D Division. Akai previously worked in the department.

Masatsugu Yamamoto will be the general manager of the purchasing administration department in the corporate purchasing division. Yamamoto previously worked in the department.

Tomohisa Yamaguchi was named president of Toyo Tire (Thailand) Co. Ltd. Yamaguchi will continue working in the tire planning division with a temporary transfer to Toyo Tyre Sales and Marketing Malaysia Sdn. Bhd.

Tomihiro Saki will serve as president of Toyo Automotive Parts (USA), Inc., and will continue as president of Toyo Automotive Parts De Mexico S.A. De C.V.
