Grip the Moment: Falken Partners with a Pro Surfer

When executives at Falken Tire Corp. came up with its "Grip the Moment" campaign, who thought the gripping would be done by 10 toes?

In a campaign that features the top athletes from around the world, Falken has partnered with professional surfer Malia Manuel to help promote Falken, "the adventure-minded performance brand for on-and- off road tires."

Ranked as one of the top 10 surfers in the world for the last two years, Manuel’s drive to excel in her sport perfectly aligns with Falken’s ongoing “Grip the Moment” campaign.

"Partnering with top adventure athletes, the campaign celebrates the passion, ambition and determination of both the sponsored athletes and the Falken brand," says the company. "Additionally, the campaign and brand encourage individuals everywhere to embrace their journey, savoring every experience along the way."

Born and raised in Hawaii, Manuel is the embodiment of an authentic island surfer. The youngest winner of the US Open of Surfing ever, she began surfing with her parents at the age of two and competing in large events by the age of eight. Manuel’s career highlights include winning the 2003 National Championship, being named the 2012 ASP Rookie of the Year and five World Series wins.
