Moncar to Distribute Starlux Truck Tires in the U.S.

Oct. 20, 2022

Chaoyang Long March Tyre Co. Ltd. (Long March) will produce Starlux truck tires for the U.S. market. The tires will be distributed exclusively by Moncar Inc., a company in Coral Gables, Fla., led by Charlie Salas.

Long March will produce the tires at a new tire factory in Pakistan. The plant, a joint venture with Service Industries Ltd., has a capacity of 600,000 truck and bus tires a year. Long March says the plant’s capacity is expected to be expanded to 2.4 million units by 2026.

The deal to bring Starlux to the U.S. also includes a partnership with Jose Luis Arellano, chairman of Emotion, a tire distributor that serves Mexico and Latin America.

“We have partnered with Long March in the most stringent markets with the most demanding conditions throughout Latin America,” says Arellano. “Time and time again our Long March products outperform the competition while offering value from a cost per mile perspective to the long lasting, even trice retreadable casing.

“We have conducted in-depth studies and we can say with certitude that you can’t find a better truck tire for the price. Value plus quality equals win-win.”

Mr. Liu, the sales director of Long March says, “We are excited to expand our cooperation with Emotion/Moncar into the USA market. We value our relationships with our loyal customers and are committed to our continuing effort to develop products with the highest levels of quality. This commitment also means working together in concert with the needs and expectations of our customers.”
