TreadWright Tires Partners With Veterans Association

Sept. 27, 2016

TreadWright Tires LLC is partnering with the Expeditionary Veterans Association (EVA) to provide tires for recreational and therapeutic outdoor excursions for veterans.

The Houston-based tire manufacturer will provide tires to help transport veterans to outdoor activities hosted by the EVA in an effort to provide therapeutic recreation and outreach.

The EVA and TreadWright are partnering to ensure veterans and active service members have programs available to assist them in their progression of their Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) therapy and transition into civilian life.

The EVA operates in San Diego, Calif., and the surrounding areas, offering recreational therapy for veterans and active service members suffering from PTDS. Several times per week, the EVA organizes recreational outdoor excursion, providing transportation and equipment for all events.

The EVA is founded and operated by US Army OIF-1 Combat-Veteran Spc. Jacob Cruz-Ratliff, who found therapy through outdoor recreational activities that has helped him cope with his own PTSD. The goal of the EVA is to assist veterans in the progression of their own therapy and transition into civilian life.

The EVA says it hosts multiple events per week to assist more vets, aiming to deliver the biggest and most readily available benefit to as many veterans as possible. The EVA is funded solely on donations received by the organization and by partnerships with companies like TreadWright that provide the equipment to further the EVA's mission.

"PTSD is a growing epidemic with our service members that has devastating effects," says EVA founder Spc. Cruz-Ratliff.

"EVA represents a hope for a better life and the promise that our military personnel, past and present, will never be without assistance. We provide our services with help from partners like TreadWright because we as American people can show that we can never forget those that gave their all for the freedoms we now enjoy."
