Nov. 9, 2022

Bridgestone Americas Inc. has announced it raised $2.3 million in 2022 for the United Way of Greater Nashville to support the organization’s network of local organizations providing services and programs across middle Tennessee.

The donation is part of the company’s nearly 30-year partnership with United Way, which includes an annual charitable giving campaign that has raised more than $10.4 million for the organization since 2012.

The company also raised more than $1.3 million through its fifth annual Bridgestone United Way Charitable Golf Tournament held on Oct. 19 at Hermitage Golf Club in Nashville, Tenn. The annual tournament has generated more than $4.3 million in the five years it has been hosted.

“Bridgestone is committed to supporting the communities in which we live and operate,” says Paolo Ferrari, president and CEO, Bridgestone Americas.

“This year, our teammates and partners truly lived out our Bridgestone E8 commitment by generously giving back to those in need across Middle Tennessee. We are honored to continue our support of United Way of Greater Nashville.”

“Bridgestone really went above and beyond this year by raising more than $2.3 million to support the work of United Way and hosting the largest company-led golf tournament fundraiser in the United Way network,” says Brian Hassett, CEO, United Way of Greater Nashville.
