Automotive Distribution Network Names CFO

Aug. 29, 2016

The Automotive Distribution Network (Network) has named Mike Whitten its first chief financial officer.

“Mike’s hiring as the group’s first-ever CFO represents a broader commitment to improve visibility and transparency of the operation to the Network’s membership,” says David Prater, president of the Network. “Mike’s accounting and financial experience from a broad range of industries will prove to be invaluable as the Network continues to grow.”

Whitten will be responsible for adding greater structure and organization to the Network’s financial systems and financial reporting. He holds credentials as a CPA, certified internal auditor, certified business manager, and Kepner-Tregoe program leader, according to the Network. Whitten most recently served as divisional CFO of DYK Automotive LLC for more than seven years.

“I’m excited about coming in as the Network’s first CFO because I can help define the position with my own ideas and approach to finance, accounting and operations,” says Whitten, who also served as chief accounting officer for Holly Farms Corp. in the 1970s and ’80s.

“Over the years, I’ve seen a lot of different accounting systems, and I’ve worked with plenty of great people from a broad number of industries. I’ve seen a variety of different approaches that worked in various companies, so I believe I can bring something new that the Network hasn’t seen before.”

The Network is a program group operating under the brands of Parts Plus, Parts Plus Mexico, IAPA and Auto Pride. For more information, contact Bob Barstow at Network Headquarters, 3085 Fountainside Drive, Suite 210, Germantown, Tenn., 38138. (901) 682-9090.
