A Decision Finally Favors Indian OTR Tire Makers

Aug. 17, 2016

Justice has prevailed. In a preliminary ruling, the U.S. Department of Commerce (DOC) has sided with Indian OTR tire manufacturers, saying no anti-dumping duties are necessary.

That's good, according to Modern Tire Dealer Editor Bob Ulrich, who too often has seen the downside of legislation aimed at the tire industry. "When politics are eliminated from the decision-making, it's amazing how over-legislating is minimized," he says.
