Yokohama's Soccer Partnership Includes Free Youth Clinics

July 26, 2016

Yokohama Tire Corporation (YTC) is kicking up its soccer game another notch this summer in partnership with the Chelsea Football Club. The two are holding free youth soccer clinics in the U.S. in conjunction with Chelsea’s U.S. summer tour.

The coaching clinics began with stops in Santa Monica and Norwalk, Calif. July 23-25, and continue with clinics on July 29 in Ann Arbor, Mich. and Aug. 1 in Minneapolis, Minn. The public can register at www.yokohamatire.com/chelseaclinics.

“What an incredible opportunity for young soccer players,” says Alan Holtschneider, director of marketing at Yokohama Tire, the official shirt partner of Chelsea FC. “It’s not every day you get to learn from a world-class organization.”

The Chelsea club is in the U.S. for a three-game tour. Chelsea will face Liverpool FC on July 27 at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, Calif.; Real Madrid on July 30 at Michigan Stadium in Ann Arbor; and AC Milan on August 3 at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis.

“Like most soccer fans, we’re really excited to see Chelsea in action here in America,” Holtschneider says. “These are going to be great games and will help promote our global partnership with Chelsea in the U.S.”
