Fredric Aasbo Takes Victory With Nexen Tire

Formula Drift Round 5 took place at Autodrome St. Eustache in Montreal, Canada July 16th, 2016.

The weather was a bit unpredictable throughout the weekend but race day was perfect for the competition and for fans to enjoy.  

Fredric Aasbo piloted his Rockstar Energy Nexen Tire SR by Toyota tC without any trouble or issues and brought Nexen home the win. This is Aasbo's second victory and his third podium in 2016 season so far.  Aasbo is currently sitting in 2nd place for driver championship points, but only 3 points behind the leader.

Another Nexen Tire driver, Alec Hohnadell, gave the best performance of the night while battling with Chris Forsberg. Although Hohnadell lost after a "One More Time" round, fans and media were excited by his talent, especially with him racing at such young age.

Nexen Tire currently has a 100 point lead putting them in 1st place for the Tire Manufacturer Championships.

Only 3 more rounds to go. The next race will be on Evergreen Speedway in Monroe Washington near Seattle August 5-6, 2016.
