No Choice in the Matter: Why a Mission Statement Is So Vital

July 5, 2016

"Your mission, if you choose to accept it..." were the words Jim Phelps, the leader of the U.S. government's covert Impossible Missions Force on "Mission: Impossible," listened to every week on CBS television from 1966-73. He clearly had a choice in the matter.

Whether or not you have a mission statement, however, should not be a choice. Every company and business organization should have one.

There are many reasons why a mission statement is so important to the success of your business,, which Modern Tire Dealer Editor Bob Ulrich elaborates on in his latest blog, "Why a Mission Statement Will Help You Succeed in Business."

He lists seven reasons, no, eight, why a mission statement will help you run your business more profitably. The recent change in the Tire Industry Association's mission statement helps clarify those reasons.

Is there any reason for your business not to have a mission statement? Are there other reasons it is important? Read the blog, then let us know what you think by leaving a comment!
