Titan Program Awards Tires to Youth For Restoring Antique Tractors

June 27, 2016

Titan International Inc.’s 2016 antique tractor restoration program is now open to Future Farmers of America (FFA) and 4H members. The program awards hundreds of sets of tires each year to qualified applicants in an effort to foster the next generation of American growers.

“Titan feels that nothing is more important to our industry than supporting its future — the young men and women who will carry the torch of our country’s proud farming legacy,” says Scott Sloan, agricultural product manager for Titan and Goodyear Farm Tires.

“The opportunity to equip these students with tires for their restoration projects is just our way of supporting the enormous time and talent that they put into the program, and we’re proud to do our part.”

Students who will be undertaking a tractor restoration project this summer, and would like to apply, should visit: http://www.titan-intl.com/antique-tractor-restoration.

In addition to the tractor restoration program, Titan holds regional tire auctions each year to benefit state FFA chapters. In 2015 alone, Titan tire auctions helped raise more than $200,000 for regional FFA chapters.

The 2016 auctions will take place at the following farm shows:

  • Farm Progress Show, Aug. 30-Sept. 1 (Boone, Iowa);
  • Husker Harvest Days, Sept. 13-15 (Grand Island, Neb.);
  • Farm Science Review, Sept. 20-22 (Columbus, Ohio); and
  • Sunbelt Agricultural Exposition, Oct. 18-20 (Moultrie, Ga.).
