Omni United (S) Pte. Ltd. has added an ultra-high performance tire to its flagship Radar brand. The new Radar Dimax R8+ will be available in 131 sizes, including the company’s first runflat sizes, covering 17- to 26-inch rim diameters to fit most UHP passenger vehicles and high performance SUVs.
The company will introduce the Dimax R8+ range in 131 sizes in phases over the next 12 months. There are 41 sizes available now. An additional 23 sizes will be ready in September 2016, 11 sizes in December 2016 and the rest will be available by the end of May 2017. The Dimax R8+ is backed by a 30,000-mile tread wear warranty.
The range offers 29 runflat sizes which includes most of the popular vehicle fitments, according to Omni United. All runflat sizes are constructed using the latest reinforcing materials technology available, including the company’s exclusive Radar Runflat Insert Technology (RRIT) giving a smooth ride under normal operating conditions, and ensuring mobility in a runflat condition.
The company says Radar runflat tires will be effective up to a distance of 50 miles at a speed of up to 50 miles per hour when used in a runflat condition using an appropriate tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS).
The Radar Dimax R8+ has an asymmetric tread pattern that offers precise handling at high speeds, according to the company. Its wide circumferential groves provide safety in wet and dry conditions and its state-of-the-art silica tread compound technology provides exceptional wear and grip. The computer aided design construction ensures a quiet and comfortable ride.
The company says the Dimax R8+ uses state of the art compounds and technologies and is produced using the very latest manufacturing equipment. The computer validated tread design optimizes grip in wet and dry conditions, along with exceptional water clearance and low noise.
