Heffelfinger to Retire From Brake Parts

Terry Heffelfinger, vice president of engineering, product development, quality, and research and development, will retire from Brake Parts Inc. as of June 30, 2016.

“Terry has been an integral part of our company for the past 11 years, leading multi-disciplinary teams that consistently contributed to BPI’s growth and profitability," says David Overbeeke, CEO and president of Brake Parts Inc. "His hard work and commitment to BPI are greatly appreciated and will be felt for years to come. On behalf of all the employees at Brake Parts Inc, I would like to thank Terry for his many contributions to our company and wish him all the best that retirement has to offer.”

Heffelfinger joined BPI in 2005 as director of product engineering, quality, and research and development before assuming his current role five years ago. Prior to BPI, he served as chief engineer, and later as director of product engineering and marketing for Tenneco Inc. where he built and led the engineering and marketing teams.

An industry advocate, Heffelfinger has been active in many aftermarket organizations, including the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), the Automotive Aftermarket Suppliers Association (AASA) and the Brake Manufacturers’ Council (BMC).
