June 7, 2016

Tyler McQuarrie of Team Falken, a two-time manufacturer’s champion in Formula Drift, placed fourth after two “one more times” against eventual winner Fredric Aasbo at Round 3 of the 2016 Formula D championship in Orlando.

This is the team’s second year returning to Orlando Speed World, and the strongest finish for McQuarrie this year.

“We couldn’t have asked for more out of Team Falken this weekend, and are incredibly excited for Tyler,” said Steve Wong, Supervisor of Motorsports and Events for Falken. “Tyler gave Fredric Aasbo a run for his money at this event. With the performance that we continue to see from the AZENIS tire line. The superior grip and balance that the RT615K is delivering for us every time, we have high hopes our team will be on the podium in the near future.”

Team Falken drivers Aurimas “Odi” Bakchis who qualified 3rd currently sits 4th in the championship points, Tyler McQuarrie after making it into the Top 4 now sits 5th in championship points and rounding out the Top 10, Daijiro Yoshihara who qualified in 8th place, finished the event ranked in 9th in championship points.

The next round of the 2016 Formula Drift Championship will be held at Wall Speedway in New Jersey on June 17-18, when drivers brave “The Gauntlet.”
