Free Service Tire Co. Inc. has hired Shaun Fitzgerald, a 30-year tire industry veteran with extensive experience in wholesale management, as its new director of wholesale operations.
Fitzgerald comes to Free Service Tire from Flynn’s Tire Wholesale, a division of Flynn’s Tire Group. He had managed Flynn’s wholesale division since 2004.
Fitzgerald began his career with the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. in 1986, where he managed stores in Venture and Cupertino, Calif. He also served as a district manager of retail and training manager before transferring to Pittsburgh, Pa., where he held various territory sales management positions for Goodyear until 2004.
Free Service Tire offers retail and commercial tire sales and service and operates ten stores and four wholesale centers in eastern Tennessee, southwest Virginia, and western North Carolina. The company was founded in 1919 in Johnson City, Tenn.
