DOC Postpones OTR Tire Tariff Ruling

June 6, 2016

The U.S. Department of Commerce will not issue its preliminary ruling related to off-the-road tires allegedly dumped in the U.S. from India until August.

According to a notice published in the Federal Register on June 6, 2016, the DOC has granted an extension in the anti-dumping case, and thus the ruling will not be handed down until Aug. 11. The previous deadline was June 22.

The DOC granted a similar extension in its countervailing investigation of OTR tires. That ruling, originally due Feb. 3, was postponed to June 13. The countervailing investigation applies to tires from India as well as Sri Lanka.
