McGrath Wins Pro 2 At LOORRS Round 6

May 25, 2016

Maxxis’ title-sponsored driver Jeremy McGrath earned his first win of the season Sunday. McGrath dominated Pro 2 at Round 6 of the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series (LOORRS), held in Tooele, Utah.

McGrath started in the front position and didn’t waste his opportunity, charging into the lead and holding it throughout the race. He posted a final time of 14:45:251, crossing the finish line .570 before the next driver. The racing legend also took a spot on the podium a day earlier, earning second place in Round 5. After a fourth-place start and a few challenges early in the race, he charged into second with an aggressive move in Lap 13, finishing more than four seconds ahead of the next rider.

No stranger to podiums in multiple racing disciplines, McGrath is in both the BMX and AMA Motocross Halls of Fame and is a seven-time AMA Supercross champion. His relationship with Maxxis has expanded in the past two years: In addition to driving Razr SCR tires to victory in off-road racing, he also assists the company’s engineers with tire design.
