The latest line of products from Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. won't fit on any vehicle. But they will fit on your feet.
Goodyear Licensed Products is debuting what it calls its "performance collection for men," a line of five styles of canvas sneakers and racing-inspired shoes. For car aficionados, Goodyear tire tread patterns are used on the soles, while the Clutch silhouette is inspired by competition footwear used by race car drivers.
"Having this line available from coast to coast in time for the easy days of summer enables us to introduce our heritage to a wide range of consumers," says Nancy Ray, director of licensed products at Goodyear. "We are proud to be working with respected retailers to help launch our shoe collection across the U.S."
Specifically, this line includes: the Vulcan Var Canvas ($80), Ori Performance Racing ($70), Clutch Performance Racing ($70), Index Performance Racing ($60), and Groove Goodyear Racing ($60).
