TGI named one of Hispanic Business magazine's Top 500

Tire Group International (TGI), based in Miami, Fla., and run by CEO Antonio Gonzales, has again made Hispanic Business magazine's list of the 500 largest Hispanic-owned companies in the nation.

The company ranking was 184. It was 181st in last year's list.

This is the 18th year the company has run its Hispanic Business 500 listing, the magazine reports. Numbers are based on 2001 financial results.

TGI is a tire distributor with inventories in Miami; San Juan, Puerto Rico; and Hidalgo, Texas. It also has contracts for warehousing space in Singapore, China; Hamburg, Germany; and Colon Freezone, Panama. It deals in more than 70 countries, selling more than 40 brands of tires including MRF, Delta, Astro, Cosmo and Yokohama.

It also is a member of the sellatire.com e-commerce marketplace.
