Michelin will raise truck tire prices

Michelin North America Inc. will raise prices on its Michelin brand truck tires and retreading products on Feb. 1.

Michelin, through its Michelin Americas Truck Tires division, will increase prices on its Michelin brand domestic replacement truck tires by an average of 4.5%.

At the same time, Michelin Retread Technologies Inc. will increase prices on retreading products by an average of 3.75%.

Michelin North America raised prices up to 4% on certain SKUs of BFGoodrich truck tires on Nov. 1.

Yokohama Tire Corp. raised its medium truck tire prices on Dec. 1. Bridgestone/Firstone North American Tire LLC, Hankook Tire America Corp. and Toyo Tire (U.S.A.) Corp. will hike truck tire prices on Jan. 1, 2003.
