Hunter Engineering Co. has integrated its Quick Check vehicle inspection technology and Quick Tread drive-over tread depth unit with the AutoPoint technology platform from Solera Holdings Inc.
Hunter says vehicle inspection results are automatically paired with the AutoPoint’s electronic MultiPoint inspection and integrated with the dealer management system (DMS). This digital process enhances a service department’s performance allowing dealerships to streamline the service process, increase efficiency and reach new profit potentials, according to Hunter.
Hunter says its Quick Check inspection system identifies needed service opportunities in less than two minutes. This system checks wheel alignment, tire tread depth, tire inflation, battery health, diagnostic codes and braking balance.
Quick Check and Quick Tread results can be instantly recalled by the service advisor and technician within the AutoPoint system at any time. Service advisors can present service recommendations via text message or email, highlighting the Hunter inspection results within a self-guided digital experience supported by educational videos and written content.
In addition, the AutoPoint solution tracks approved and deferred service. Dealership management will have total visibility into service department execution and results to effectively manage both people and equipment, according to Hunter.
Hunter has also integrated its Quick Check and Quick Tread technologies with Dealer Tire LLC, a national distributor of tires to franchised new car dealers. The company says the integration enables car dealerships to increase tire and alignment sales while boosting customer retention. The tire offer is presented in a customer friendly 'good, better, best' format. Each tire offer is automatically generated based on the proper original equipment fitment and the individual dealership's customized tire stocking plan.
