Yokohama Enhances Website with 9 More Languages

Yokohama Rubber Co. Ltd.has enhanced the multilingual capabilities of the corporate website by adding web pages in nine languages: Spanish, French, Chinese, Arabic, Thai, Korean, Russian, Indonesian, and German.

Users of the Yokohama global website now have 11 language choices, the nine new languages plus the original English and Japanese offerings. Users can select the language of their choice from a toolbar at the top of the page.

Yokohama says its corporate website has seen a sharp increase in global access since the company entered into a partnership with the Barclays Premier League champions Chelsea Football Club last July. Considering this growing global interest, the company decided to supplement the information provided in local languages by its subsidiaries in various countries with news and information from the parent company in as many languages as possible. This new initiative is part of Yokohama's plan to become a more global enterprise and expand sales worldwide by gaining the understanding and confidence of consumers in the many countries where it conducts business.

This comes as Yokohama continues to expand its global network. In 2015, the Company established an automotive hose assembly plant in Mexico and brought on line a new tire plant in Mississippi. The company now has manufacturing plants in 12 countries and areas to provide its products around the world.
