Yokohama Introduces Geolandar A/T G015

March 15, 2016

Yokohama Tire Corp. (YTC) has introduced the Geolandar A/T G015 in 60 sizes with a 60,000-mile treadwear warranty for P/E-metric sizes and 50,000-mile warranty for LT-metric sizes.

YTC plans to add 17 more sizes to the line by the end of 2016. All sizes will be certified for severe snow conditions and stamped with the three-peak mountain snowflake symbol.

The new tire replaces the Geolandar AT-S.

Dealers will find the price of the new tire comparable to the tire it replaces, the Geolandar AT-S. The similar pricing is a statement of the new tire’s value, according to Bob Abram, product planning manager.

“We improved it in virtually every way you can from lowering noise to improving grip in wet and winter and improving the mileage warranty by 10,000 miles. By keeping the price similar, we are really offering a great value to our dealers and to consumers who don’t want to pay the premium price.”

The new addition to the Geolandar line will be available for sale in North America on April 1, 2016.

“The Geolandar A/T G015 delivers outstanding traction in any condition, both on road and off,” says Andrew Briggs, senior director of tire business planning, product planning and sales operations. “It’s the toughest and most versatile Geolandar yet and it’s built to last, providing some of the best mileage in the industry.”
