Triangle Hires 2 Sales Veterans to Lead U.S. Operations

Two longtime tire industry sales management professionals will lead the sales efforts for Triangle Tire USA: Sidney “Sid” Parr and D. Tunney Vandevender.

Parr has joined Triangle Tire USA as director of commercial tire sales, and Vandevender is serving as manager of consumer tire sales.

“The proven track records and relationships that Sid and Tunney have established in the U.S. tire industry will be invaluable as we work to establish strategic, long-term relationships with key tire distributors and dealers, as well as with end users of our products,” says Manny Cicero, CEO of Triangle Tire USA.

Parr has more than 23 years of experience in developing sales and marketing programs that have helped a number of tire brands become established and substantially grow in the U.S.

Vandevender, who has been in the tire industry for more than 20 years, has held a variety of sales management positions at both the retail and manufacturer levels.

Triangle Tire USA is a wholly owned subsidiary of Triangle Tyre Co. Ltd. The US headquarters opened in Franklin, Tenn. at the beginning of 2016. The company opened a technical center in Akron, Ohio, in 2011 to help develop consumer and commercial tires specifically for the U.S. market.

Triangle Tyre Group celebrates its 40th year in business on April  8, 2016. It is headquartered in Weihai, a major seaport city located in the eastern part of China’s Shandong province.  The company operates five plants in China. Its R&D center in Weihai is one of few R&D institutions in China to have been awarded by the Chinese Government the status of National Engineering Laboratory and National Industrial Design Institute.
