Wal-Mart Stores Inc. named Giti Tire (USA) Ltd. its Automotive Supplier of the Year for 2015. In addition, Giti was also named Hardline Supplier of the Year, and was one of four finalists in the General Merchandise Category.
The company supplies the Dextero DHT2, a light truck tire designed for highway use, to Walmart Tire & Lube Express outlets. Walmart also sells Goodyear, Michelin, BFGoodrich, General, Hankook, Bridgetone, Douglas, Continental, Nitto, Uniroyal, Kumho, Pirelli, Nexen, Dunlop, Falken, Kelly, Mickey Thompson and Dick Cepek tires.
Giti Tire took home the prestigious awards at the Walmart USA 2016 kickoff meeting in Indianapolis, Ind., February 11-12. More than 1,000 suppliers were up for Hardline Supplier of the Year.
