Max Finkelstein Opens Distribution Center in Maryland

Feb. 3, 2016

Max Finkelstein Inc. (MFI) has opened a 94,000-square-foot distribution center in Hanover, Md., to serve the Maryland, Delaware, Virginia and Washington D.C. area.

MFI is serving a new market through the Hanover facility. The company says additional centers will follow to better serve the geographical area.

Operating as Goodyear’s largest independently owned wholesale distributor in the country, MFI has added one distribution center to its footprint each year for the past six years.

The company says its biggest accomplishment so far is the 2015 opening of a 300,000-square-foot regional distribution center in Westampton, N.J. Acting as a hub for nine other distribution centers, this facility delivers just-in-time replenishment and special orders on nightly basis.

Along with Goodyear, Dunlop, and Kelly consumer and commercial tires, the company also distributes the Pirelli, Kumho, Kenda, and Carlisle brands, as well as a wide range of private label consumer, commercial, OTR, and specialty products. The company says it is a leading distributor for the Goodyear G3X, Pirelli Fastrack, Kumho Premium Fuel, and Kenda Traction dealer programs.

Based in Astoria, N.Y., Max Finkelstein Inc. has been family owned and operated since 1919 and is extending into its fourth generation of leadership.

MFI’s footprint spans from Virginia to Maine, serving the entire Mid-Atlantic and Northeast regions daily with over 180 delivery trucks on the road.
