Alliance Unveils Solid OTR Tire at World of Concrete Show

Feb. 3, 2016

Alliance Tire Group (ATG) is displaying a wide range of tread designs and a new solid OTR tire at the 2016 World of Concrete trade show in Las Vegas Feb. 2-5.

The Galaxy Beefy Baby SDS is the first of a new line of solid OTR tires being introduced this year by ATG.

“Our Galaxy brand includes the tools to boost versatility, performance and profitability for our customers,” says Bruce Besancon, vice president of marketing for Alliance Tire Americas Inc.

He says the Galaxy Multi-Purpose Construction (MPC) tire is designed as an all-around performer on graders, loaders and telehandlers, applications where stability and keeping the equipment moving on any surface is important.

The company’s Giraffe XLW brings a new level of versatility to the telehandler market, recognizing that contractors are using telehandlers in a wide range of ways, according to Besancon.

“The sidewall stability and huge footprint of the Giraffe XLW address the specific demands faced by telehandler tires, while the tire’s tread design works in both directions on any surface. It’s a tire that will take a telehandler operator anywhere he wants to go, and keep him productive all day long.”

Other ATG tires spotlighted in the booth during the World of Concrete show include:

* Galaxy Hulk and Jumbo Hulk, which stand up to broken concrete and constant scrubbing on paved surfaces; and

* Galaxy Trac Star ND, a medium-duty tire ideal for backhoes and skid steers in road construction or landscape work.

“The driving forces behind the Galaxy brand are versatility and low cost per hour,” says Besancon. “At World of Concrete, talking with contractors and fleet owners reinforces that those are also the key ingredients for success in the construction business. We’re here to show that tires are an important part of the equation.”
