After 55 Years, Bob Dalotto Is Re-Tiring

Jan. 28, 2016

After more than a half century in the tire industry, Robert "Bob" Dalotto is retiring — again — at the end of March 2016.

Dalotto has most recently has served in a sales capacity dealing with large and key accounts for Moosic, Pa.-based Jack Williams Tire Co. But that's only been since 2002. The company says "The name Bob Dalotto has been recognized and well respected within the tire industry for well over 55 years."

He began his career in the industry when he joined The U.S. Rubber Co. in March, 1961, the company which later became Uniroyal. Then Uniroyal was purchased by Michelin in 1991, and Dalotto served as regional manager through 1995. In January 1995, he retired from Michelin after 34 years with both Uniroyal and Michelin serving in numerous management positions.

In late 1995, Dalotto joined the now defunct, Memphis Tenn.-based American Car Care Centers as sales manager. Following that assignment, he worked from 1996 through 2001 in a sales and advisory capacity for the Long Island, N.Y.-based Wholesale Tire Co. In 2002 he joined Jack Williams Tire.

“Bob has been a cornerstone of the industry," says long-time friend and fellow Jack Williams Tire employee, Al Breese. “He has seen this business evolve tremendously over the course of his career. Bob has a wealth of experience and knowledge seldom seen in the tire industry and we wish him well in his future endeavors.”
