Toyo will raise prices Feb. 1

Toyo Tire U.S.A. Corp. announced it will raise prices on all its passenger, light truck, truck and OTR tires by 4% effective Feb. 1, 2005.

The company last raised prices on its consumer and commercial tires June 1, 2004, when it announced price hikes of up to 4%.

Toyo is the latest tire manufacturer to announce domestic price increases in 2005. The others are Bridgestone Firestone North American Tire LLC and Hankook Tire America Corp. (Jan. 1), Continental Tire North America Inc. (Jan. 1 for commercial, Feb. 1 for consumer) and, most recently, Michelin North America Inc. (Mar. 1). Michelin will raise its farm and OTR tire prices on Jan. 1.
