Hankook Tire America Corp. opened its newest distribution center yesterday.
The Portland, Tenn.-based facility covers 312,000 square feet and can be expanded to 450,000 square feet, according to Hankook officials.
They describe the warehouse as "a turning point in distribution."
The facility "will greatly enhance Hankook´s ability to meet dealer requests and shorten the duration from date of import to date of delivery."
It´s the company´s fifth distribution center in the United States. Hankook also has warehouses in California, Oregon and New Jersey.
