China Manufacturers Alliance Inc. (CMA) has changed its name to American Pacific Industries Inc. (API) and also has added new tire lines to its menu.
"Our product range is expanding and we have a couple of new tires available," including Nortech, an industrial tire line, says Michelle Schiff, API´s marketing manager.
API also plans to add Pegasus brand tires to its existing line-up. The Valencia, Calif.-based company still sells Gladiator, Wynstar, Vortex, Advance and Armour brand products.
API officials say the firm´s new name "better reflects a rapidly growing manufacturing base not only within China but in many other countries throughout the Pacific Rim and around the world."
API is expanding its manufacturing base in India and by the first quarter of 2005 will be sourcing tires from Indonesia as well, Schiff told moderntiredealer.com.
"We are no longer limited to manufacturing in China," says API CEO Jeff Kreitzman.
