Toyo Tire (U.S.A.) Corp. has added two 24-inch sizes to its Proxes S/T ultra-high performance radial sport truck and SUV tire line.
"The market has evolved with these new fitments, and our newly engineered 24-inch is the natural progression,” says Vice President Earl Knoper. The Proxes S/T already is available in 20-, 22- and 23-inch sizes.
The new 24-inch sizes are 325/45R24 and 285/40R24. The 325/45R24 is specifically designed to meet the special loading needs of the Hummer; the 285/40R24 will fit a broad range of light truck and SUV applications, according to the company.
The Proxes S/T features the following:
* a computer-optimized, unidirectional, all-season tread design with low and high angle tread grooves designed to resist aquaplaning.
* a cap/base tread compound engineered for cooler operation.
* specially engineered polyester casings, which help to assure rigidity for an exceptional steering response.
* a rim protector in the lower sidewall designed to reduce the vulnerability of expensive alloy wheels to curb abrasions.
In addition, Toyo is introducing other sizes to the Proxes S/T line. They are 325/50R22, 285/45R22, 255/40R20 and 285/50R20.
