Rubber & Plastics News (RPN), published by Crain Communications Inc., has named David Zielasko publisher.
Zielasko also retains his current titles of editor and vice president/publisher of Tire Business, a sister publication of RPN.
Zielasko replaces Robert Simmons, who remains vice president of Crain Communications and group publisher of Crain´s Akron, Ohio, and London-based tire, rubber, polymer and waste publications. Simmons will continue to oversee the financial areas of the publication in his role as group publisher.
RPN was founded by Zielasko´s late father, Ernie Zielasko, in 1971. A former editor of Modern Tire Dealer, the elder Zielasko served as RPN´s first editor and publisher.
