Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. has named Mary Pauken its director of product launch programs. She will head a team that includes product platform managers Mark Armbruster, Douglas Fenbert and Douglas Trenkamp.

Responsibilities for this team include leading and overseeing the development, launch and production of new product platforms, the company says.

Pauken’s primary responsibility is to lead the design and implementation of new and enhanced processes to manage new product activities throughout the organization, including the use of cross-functional core teams and global project management.

Since joining Cooper in 1988, she has worked as field auditor, internal auditor and director of corporate auditing.

Armbruster joined Cooper in 1998 as a production supervisor in the Bowling Green sealing systems plant. He also has worked as production scheduler/customer liaison, operations planner and, most recently, as manager of management education in the Cooper Learning Center.

Fenbert began his career with Cooper in 1995 at the Bowling Green sealing systems facility, where he served in several quality roles including quality assurance manager. He was assigned to the Findlay plant in 2000 as quality assurance manager. Most recently, he served as the Findlay plant’s Lean champion and was instrumental in leading many Lean initiatives.

Since joining Cooper in 1990 as an associate research engineer, Trenkamp has worked as tire engineer, senior product development engineer, manager of commercial tire development and, most recently, as manager of SUV and light truck tire development.
