Del-Nat Tire Corp. has bought a 120,000-square-foot warehouse next to its headquarters in Memphis, Tenn.
The facility is near Del-Nat's current and, up until now, only distribution center.
It brings the private brander's total warehouse capacity up to just under 500,000 square feet, says Del-Nat President Dan Hunter.
Del-Nat currently ships out of one distribution center.
The new warehouse, which once housed a logistics company, will be able to hold nearly 230,000 Delta, National and Akuret units at full capacity, according to Hunter.
Del-Nat also has bought five acres of land behind its main building.
"If growth continues, we may break ground next year" on a 100,000-square-foot addition to company headquarters, Hunter says.
Del-Nat brands enjoy 3.5% of the domestic replacement passenger tire market, according to Modern Tire Dealer data.
