Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. plans to sell 1.4 million run-flat tires in 2004.

Earlier today, Goodyear announced that its Goodyear Eagle F1 GSD3 run-flat has won original equipment fitment on the new Ferrari F430.

The Akron, Ohio-based tiremaker also supplies run-flats for the Corvette, the Cadillac CTS-V, various BMW and Mercedes-Benz models, and other cars.

"Additional run-flat fitments could be on the horizon," say Goodyear officials.

The company´s designers at its tech centers in Akron and Luxembourg are working with "multiple manufacturers on more than 100 run-flat projects."
