Six additional presses will allow Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. to double its seamless tread production at its Social Circle, Ga., plant.
The addition will create 40 new jobs at the facility, say Goodyear officials.
Goodyear's Wingfoot Commercial Tire Systems LLC is the largest retreader in the United States with 61 shops that produce 680 light truck, 6,500 truck and 101 OTR retreads per day, according to Modern Tire Dealer research.
