Yokohama Tire Corp. will roll out a new radial OTR tire, the RL42, at MINExpo International next week.
The RL42 will come in two sizes, 24.00R35 and 27.00R49.
Size 24.00R35 is designed for smaller haul trucks and will be available during the fourth quarter of 2004, according to Gary Nash, Yokohama´s director of off-road sales.
Size 27.00R49, which is engineered for 85-ton haul trucks, will be available during the first quarter of 2005. It will be Yokohama´s largest radial OTR size. (The company´s largest bias OTR tire size is 57 inches.)
"This is a first for us," says Nash. MINExpo International runs from Sept. 27-30.
