Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co.´s G395 LHS long haul steer tire will be the standard steer tire on Freightliner tractors starting in October, according to Goodyear officials.
The G395 -- which was introduced last year -- is currently standard on new International and Volvo trucks, they say.
It also is available as an option on all other Class 8 trucks.
"The G395 LHS has exceeded our sales expectations by far," says Steve McClellan, Goodyear vice president, commercial tire systems.
