April 25, 2002

Bridgestone/Firestone North American Tire LLC introduced three medium radial truck tires at its BizCon commercial tire dealer meeting in New Orleans, La., today. A new radial OTR tire also was announced.

All three truck tires, one Firestone brand and two Dayton brands, are available in 22- and 24-inch sizes. They are:

* the Firestone FS560PLUS, a steer-axle tire that also can be used on any wheel position. It has a 19/32nds-inch tread depth, solid shoulder design, multiple cross-rib sipes and wide, deep flow-through grooves. It is available in standard and low-profile sizes.

* the Dayton On/Off-Highway All-Position, a short-haul tire designed for severe on- and off-highway applications like construction, logging and garbage hauling. It features the company's U-lug shoulder design for traction on soft surfaces, four steel belts and an all-steel casing ply. It is available in standard H-load range sizes for Class 6, 7 and 8 trucks.

* the Dayton Metro All-Position, a short-haul tire designed for pickup and delivery applications. The radial tire has a deep original tread, solid shoulder design, deep wrap-around grooves, thousands of rib-edge sipes, four full steel belts and an all-steel casing ply. It is available in standard and low profile sizes.

Bridgestone/Firestone Off-Road Tire Co. also introduced a commercial tire. The new VCHS Radial container handling tire will be available in sizes 18.00R25 and 18.00R33.
