Cooper Tire declares quarterly dividend

Cooper Tire & Rubber Co., on the eve of announcing its second-quarter results, announced a quarterly dividend of 10.5 cents per share on common stock. The dividend is payable September 30, 2004, to stockholders of record at the close of business September 3, 2004.

The company has now declared a dividend for 130 consecutive quarters.

Cooper Tire´s stock price closed at $21.90 on the New York Stock Exchange on Wednesday. That compares to a 52-week high and low of $23.60 and $15.77, respectively.

Cooper executives will hold a conference call to discuss the second-quarter financial results today at 11 a.m. EST.
