Nominations for the Tire Industry Association's (TIA) 2004 Tire Industry Hall of Fame class are due Sept. 1.

The Hall of Fame is open to tire dealers, retreaders, manufacturers and other industry personnel.

Inductees are judged on their contributions to the tire industry, leadership and other criteria, according to TIA officials.

Last year's inductees were Tom Foord, founder and president of Kal Tire, and Marvin Bozarth, senior technical consultant for TIA and former executive director of the International Tire & Rubber Association.

This year's inductions will take place on Nov. 2 during the Performance Wheels and Tires/Specialty Equipment Market Association Show in Las Vegas, Nev.
