U.S. Auto Care LLC President Steve Wilson has not yet received word from Kmart as to whether or not the chain's upcoming sale of 54 outlets to Sears Roebuck & Co. will have an impact on seven of the Detroit-area Big O Tires Inc. franchisee's stores that are attached to Kmart locations.

The U.S. Auto Care shops at Kmart facilities are former Penske Auto Centers outlets.

The Dearborn Heights, Mich.-based tire dealership has five stand-alone stores as well.

Kmart announced the $621 million sale two weeks ago.

"We are anxiously awaiting some word from Kmart," Wilson told mtdealer.com at the time.
