Robbins LLC CustoMix and Prevost & Associates LLC have purchased Hoover-Hanes Rubber Custom Mixing Corp. of Tallapoosa, Ga., a division of RBX Industries Inc.
Robinns CustoMix expects to have the facility in operation by July 19, 2004. The plant has been closed for several months.
Robbins LLC was founded in Muscle Shoals, Ala., in 1921 and specializes in custom rubber mixing as well as manufacturing envelopes and curing tubes for the retreading market.
With the addition of the Tallapoosa facility, Robbins now offers the custom mix industry mixing, calendaring, extrusion, autoclave curing and a dedicated color mixing unit.
