Bridgestone/Firestone North American Tire LLC (BFNT) donated more than $1.7 million to over 75 charitable organizations during the first half of 2004 through its Bridgestone Firestone Trust Fund.
Donations were made in communities "where (BFNT) calls home," says Chris Karbowiak, BFNT spokesperson and chair of the Fund.
Recipients have included the American Red Cross, March of Dimes, the National Urban League, various medical research and educational organizations, and other groups.
