ASA Tire Systems has entered into an exclusive licensing agreement with Quality Design Systems Inc. (QDS) to sell TireMaster software to tire and auto service dealerships.
QDS, a subsidiary of Bandag Inc., will continue to support TireMaster products for new customers brought in by ASA.
"The TireMaster product will provide ASA with the opportunity to penetrate the lower end of the tire dealer market," says Wayne Croswell, president of ASA. "In addition, some of the TireMaster features will provide benefits to our customers in both the retail and commercial tire markets."
According to Bandag, QDS gains additional market
representation for its products from the established sales and marketing presence and brand strength offered by ASA.
"This exclusive agreement puts some real horsepower behind a business software system that is ideally suited to smaller scale tire and auto service dealers," says Mark Davison, Bandag's chief information officer.
Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
