Michelin North America Inc. (MNA) is promoting its X One wide base truck tire this summer with a national tour.
The promotion includes two 2004 Freightliner Columbia tractors and utility trailers outfitted with the X One XDA-HT drive tire and the X One XTE trailer tire, respectively.
Customers will get an opportunity to drive the units "and get answers to all their questions relating to the X One," says Marc Laferriere, vice president of marketing for Michelin Americas Truck Tires.
MNA introduced the X One in 2000.
Company officials say the tire's sales have doubled each year since.
