Trelleborg Wheel Systems' distribution arrangement with Eagan, Minn.-based Universal Cooperatives Inc. "is doing extremely well," says Rami Bitran, vice president of Trelleborg Wheel Systems Americas Inc., the Swedish company's United States subsidiary.
Universal signed on to become Trelleborg's U.S. distributor last fall.
"We're acting as a public warehouse to take care of (Trelleborg's) customers for fill-in orders," Tom Brawley, vice president of Universal's Automotive Division, told mtdealer.com at the time.
As part of the deal, Universal also has the right to sell Pirelli farm tires, which are owned and distributed by Trelleborg.
