North America's largest independent tire dealership, Discount Tire Co. Inc., is building two outlets in North Carolina, which will bring the Scottsdale, Ariz.-based company's total number of stores in that state up to nine.
Both outlets will be located in the Winston-Salem area.
The first -- a 7,260-square-foot facility with six bays -- is scheduled to open on Aug. 2, 2004.
The second is slated to open the following month; it will be 7,850-square-feet.
Construction on both outlets is underway, according to Discount Tire officials.
Discount, which has more than 525 stores, opened its first outlet in North Carolina in 1999.
