TBC outlines plans for future growth

In a conference call today discussing TBC Corp.'s first quarter results, Larry Day, CEO and president, reports the company is continuing to look at store expansion.

For the company's National Tire & Battery (NTB) stores, the focus is on sites in Texas, Illinois and New England, where the company is "significantly under-represented," says Day.

Plans also call for "fill-ins in existing markets" for Tire Kingdom and Merchant's outlets.

And although off to a slow start in the first quarter of the year, the company also expects to open 25 new Big O stores by the end of the year.
